Hajj and Umrah are meaningful spiritual journeys for Muslims worldwide. To stay safe, health authorities recommend required vaccinations to protect pilgrims and their communities.

Requirements for Hajj and Umrah

Pilgrims traveling to Saudi Arabia for Hajj or Umrah must get the Meningococcal ACWY vaccine at least 10 days before arrival to prevent meningitis outbreaks in crowded settings.

Mandatory for Entry

Required by the Saudi Ministry of Health for all pilgrims.

Prevents Meningitis

Protects against four meningococcal bacteria strains (A, C, W, Y).

Visa Requirement

Proof of vaccination is needed for visa approval.
